Synopsis
Kristen, still working her mysterious agenda with Brady, fakes a nightmare while in bed with him. Concerned, he presses to find out what it was about… and she confesses to a growing worry that their affair will be discovered and that John and Marlena will try to turn Brady against her. Brady, strong, is determined they can continue and keep things a secret until they both decide they can go public. Kristen – seeing his growing attachment to her – is pleased. At the same time, Marlena is with Hope, confessing she’s torn in two directions… unsure about how attached Brady is to Kristen, and not sure telling John is the right thing to do. She has a favor to ask Hope, a test of sorts that will tell her just how much Brady is falling for Kristen. Hope agrees but Marlena doesn’t get the results she’s looking for… seeing that Brady does indeed have an investment in what he has with Kristen. Marlena’s still worried about telling John but Hope tells her: if this gets any more serious, then John finding out is just a matter of time. Sami meets up with EJ and is surprised to see a roomful of Christmas presents that were delivered for Johnny and Sydney from friends and associates. EJ impresses Sami greatly by insisting it’s too much for the kids and that they need to grow up with a sense of knowing how lucky they are, and that there are others who are not as fortunate. When Johnny and Sydney arrive, EJ arranges for them to donate the excess toys to charity… and Sami sees a side of EJ rarely glimpsed. When Rafe comes upon the scene even he must admit EJ is doing a good thing. Later, Kristen arrives and she briefly gets EJ aside… confessing she’s getting close to someone but EJ probably won’t like it. Sami moves up… about to hear that Kristen’s involved with Brady. Earlier, Rafe connects with Gabi who is to have her pre-cana meeting with Father Eric today. Rafe apologizes for his reaction when he learned how long Gabi had actually been pregnant. A miscommunication nearly derails Jennifer but she finally tracks down Daniel and tells him she remembers saying she loves him at the cabin – and she wants him to know she meant it. They move in for a kiss.
