Des jours et des vies : Episode 80 (1966)

Synopsis

EJ tells Kristen there’s a chance he’ll be moving in with Sami… and if things go according to plan, they’ll be getting married sometime soon. Kristen reacts, and EJ’s prompted to ask yet again what her actual intentions are with Brady. Kristen keeps a lid on her conflicted feelings. Meanwhile, Brady’s walked in on John and Marlena just as she gets John to admit he’ll never allow Kristen to sink her talons into Brady. When Brady makes his presence known, they’re unsure for a moment how much he’s heard. But he soon reveals he’s heard all – after giving them just enough rope of course – and tells them he’s through with them both. After Brady goes, John blames Marlena and they’re more estranged than ever. Meanwhile, Brady returns to Kristen and proposes marriage. Chloe shares her concern with Nancy that Jennifer could tell Daniel about finding her in his room and letting her think they made love. Against this, Jennifer’s found Daniel in the square and asks if they can talk… and it looks like she’ll reveal Chloe’s stunt. But it doesn’t get very far because Daniel, not understanding why she’s been so angry with him, suggests maybe she hasn’t fully let go of Jack and that the separation she suggested is a good idea. Jennifer’s rocked back on her heels. She goes home, where Maggie urges her to follow Daniel to San Francisco (where he’s headed for a conference) and make a stand. But instead, she makes plans to go to Smith Island alone. Abigail watches Cameron with the mysterious man as he hands over a wad of cash. When Anne moves up, a protective Abigail steers her away to keep her from seeing the “transaction.” Anne lashes out at Abigail and when Cameron comes upon them, he defends Abigail and orders Anne to apologize. But Anne’s unrepentant and makes a crack about how Cameron came to get his job at the hospital – by being Lexie’s brother. Later, Abigail subtly tries to fish about what’s going on with him but Cameron, unaware of what she saw, ends the discussion quickly.
