Synopsis
From the boat launch of the "American Maid" to the bee attack on the cameraman: This episode of "Northern Alaska - Survival in the Arctic Circle" shows previously unknown scenes as well as gripping backgrounds of the documentary series. The voyage of discovery leads on the Nowitna River many hundreds of kilometers upstream, in the middle of the untouched nature of the "Arctic National Wildlife Refuge". Not only the women of the Lewis clan, but also producers and cameramen have their say. Whether it's veteran Alaskan Bob waiting for a package to arrive by airmail, or head of the family Heimo searching for clues in the undergrowth: filming in the wilderness is always good for a surprise!
