Synopsis
After a long night of interrogation, Hope is finally forced to let Kristen walk free – they only have circumstantial evidence. Kristen goes home with Stefano and explains how she gave up her plan for revenge, only to be exposed by Marlena. EJ and Chad arrive and support their sister. Meanwhile, Brady has spent the night in the park with Nicole. He’s angry, hurt and confused over Kristen’s deception. Nicole suggests Brady seek comfort from his family but he’s adamant he does not want to see Marlena and especially John. Nicole later convinces him not to go through this alone, and he shows up at the Kiriakis mansion, where Victor and Maggie console him. Brady asks to move back in for a while and falls asleep on the couch. He later awakens to find Kristen staring down at him with love. Earlier, Victor tracks down John, expecting to find him in a celebratory mood. But gloomy John explains it was not his plan that got Brady to break things off with Kristen. John takes off to find his son but instead runs into Marlena, who is trying to absorb what Kristen told her the night before – that John tried to make love to her. Marlena tells John she doesn’t want to know what happened with Kristen, and the two part ways, both their hearts breaking. Earlier, Marlena confides to Eric she managed to get Brady to see Kristen for who she really is. Marlena is disappointed when Hope arrives and reveals they couldn’t stick charges against Kristen – for now. Later, Hope leaves to lecture Ciara about keeping secrets, and Nicole arrives to tell Marlena and Eric that Brady is okay. She later informs Eric she’ll need time off to support Brady. Eric wonders if her time off has more to do with him accusing her of having feelings for him. She denies. Daniel subtly questions Maggie about JJ. Meanwhile JJ manipulates Jennifer into giving him money, claiming it’s for school and to pay Daniel back for the things he broke. But in reality, he and Rory want to buy enough drugs so they can re-sell it and use the money to pay for their own stash. Daniel almost catches them talking about their plan but JJ covers.
