El Barco : Épisode 10 (2011)

Synopsis

The relationship between Ulises and Ainhoa has become just friendship, which is why both decide to have dates with other people and even give advice to each other. Both say they have moved on but, despite this, it doesn't seem to be completely true. Julia does all kind of tests on Manolito, the duck Piti and Bubble found, to find out where it came from. The results are clear: it was on land less than 12 hours ago. With the magnetic alterations caused by the storm, the duck must have lost orientation and ended up onboard the Polar Star. It means that, once the magnetic activity goes back to normal, it will be able to find its way back and they can follow it to land. There's only one problem: Manolito is sick and may not survive long enough. De la Cuadra forgot his medication in the bridge and the captain rushes to pick it up so no one finds it, but Salomé finds it while tidying up. The cook recognizes the medication as the same given to the captain's wife when she got cancer. Exposed, the captain lies to Salomé and says those are his pills. Palomares has decided to hang up the cowl once and for all. The crew is shocked by this decision, except for Piti, who is determined to get him a date as soon as possible. As Palomares can't confess what he still feels for Vilma, he lies and says Ainhoa is the one he really likes. Ulises is moved by this and decides to help him to win her over. Meanwhile, Estela can't help but feel attracted to Gamboa, despite knowing that he's no good for her. To protect her friend, Ainhoa decides to convince Ulises to ask her for a date so she forgets about Gamboa. Ulises will accept Ainhoa's request, on the condition that she accepts Palomares request.
