Synopsis

Vilma decides to talk to Piti. Since her kiss with Palomares, she's too confused to take a clear decision. Finally, it's Piti who breaks the ice and the relationship: "it's better to just leave it, to break up". While crying, both melt into a loving and moving hug. The ship is decked out to receive a visit from the Wise Men. The Polar Star's crew will try, despite the situation, to give Valeria the Christmas any child would wish for. They are determined to figure out how to give her the gifts she asked for in her letter, even if they must make them by hand and they do their best to prepare a Christmas play, cutting, painting, sewing and doing anything needed to create a living Nativity scene. Valeria, however, is not in the mood. She doesn't even want to write her letter to the Wise Men because she's convinced their camels won't be able to reach them, lost in the middle of the ocean. This is also her first Christmas without her mother, and not even her sister Ainhoa is there to comfort her. De la Cuadra convinces the girl that the camels are magical, so she should send the letter by bottle, the way people send messages on the high seas. However, that's a problem for the captain, as he can't know what his daughter asked for. When Valeria throws the bottle to the sea, they find out she didn't close it properly and it's sinking. The captain sees the perfect solution: with an excuse to rescue Valeria's bottle, he will be able to check its contents. While they prepare the Christmas play, the students end up clashing. Sol shuts up Piti by calling him a cuckold, saying his relationship with Vilma is dead and that, even if they didn't say it aloud, in all respects they're not together anymore. Piti, guessing Sol is right, tries to talk to Vilma, but feeling dazed and overwhelmed, she doesn't know what to say and just leaves. Piti, hanging 13 feet high with the harness he will use to play the angel of Annunciation, decides to not come down until Vilma gives him an answer.
