El Barco : Épisode 4 (2011)

Synopsis

Something is blocking all pipes and drains of the Polar Star. When they dismantle them to check what the obstruction is, they find some mysterious grey balls. Salomé thinks the objects are just dirt, but Bubble immediately knows that those are pupae that don't match any species from his books. Something is nesting in the ship, but what is it? Vilma asks Piti to move together to a cabin with a cradle for them only and gives him 24 hours to give his answer. Piti is shocked. Suddenly, Vilma feels abdominal pain and goes to the doctor. Julia, unsettled after finding the captain in bed with Leonor (Belén Rueda), tries to treat what seems to be a potential miscarriage. At this point Leonor steps in, criticizing Julia's work and taking care of the situation herself. The new arrivals explain their ship wreck, the storm that caused it and how their colleagues died… Everyone is impressed by the story, but what really surprises them is their request to call their families to say they are okay, proving that they don't know the world as they knew it is gone. Meanwhile, Leonor tells the captain she has contacted his dead wife and has a message from her. Gamboa catches Ainhoa using a walkie-talkie during class and, when he asks who was she talking with, she starts crying uncontrollably, terrified. The reaction shocks the whole class including Gamboa, who is deeply affected by the incident.
